Agricultural biogas as an element of the circular economy in Poland: an analysis of production, feedstock structure, and impact on the power system

Streszczenie
The aim of this publication is to analyse the role of agricultural biogas in the circular economy in Poland, based on
data provided by the National Agricultural Support Centre. The study examines biogas production, feedstock composition,
and the impact of micro-installations on the power system. The results indicate an 86% increase in production, stable
conversion efficiency, and a predominance of waste-based substrates. The development of micro-installations supports energy
balancing and the reduction of emissions. Agricultural biogas plays a significant role in the energy transition and in the local
circulation of matter; however, its further development requires stable support mechanisms.
